We are so ready for a shot in the arm. A few of them, in fact. Of course, I refer to the two dose vaccine that will move us past the horror and frustration of the Covid19 pandemic. But that’s not the only shot in the arm for which we are ready.
Building on the fine efforts of the Nominating Committee, new and continuing leaders are already rolling up their sleeves to dig into the good work of this church’s boards and committees. They and we will lift up and look out for the traditions our members most treasure. Fresh eyes will help us to consider the practices we want to retain and identify some we may choose to review. Generous giving and good stewardship will empower our Trustees and our Outreach Committee to move us forward in the two-fold commitment to our beautiful building and to the broader community we seek to serve. And, through it all, so many faithful hearts and hands ensure that the ministry of music, learning, prayer and praise that starts in our sanctuary doesn’t stop there. By their efforts and that of those with the forethought to invest in the right technology, this church, quite literally, reaches people where they live.
We have a lot to celebrate. What a welcome shot in the arm!
I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion. (Philippians 1:6)
